REFRAMING OBJECTS [2023]
URBINO [IT]
In Neurolinguistic Programming, reframing is changing the way we perceive a scene - thus changing its meaning. In this publication, the objects' volume of glasses, lamps and jars are turned upside down and photographed from above and below. Two perspectives that are not design to be seen, not imprinted on our minds. By unbinding their three dimensions, we will notice that it is rough to associate them with a known object. Their image is decostucted, not recognizable. It completely loses the function it plays. From a ready-made perspective, the book aims to create new forms from two provided categories. What results is a catalogue of new, composable and decomposable forms, a mix-and-match book in which one can guess to which objects the above and below belong, associate them freely by visual analogies, and analyse them as pure aesthetic forms.
